Our Story ... So Far
Doreen’s Bakery was originally established in 1985 by husband and wife, Gerard and Doreen O’Kelly, and continues to operate and trade as a family run local business today, with three generations of the same family still involved.
This is in keeping with the vision of Gerard and Doreen who always wanted the family to carry on the tradition.
The Bakery
From humble beginnings baking fifty loaves of brown bread each morning, the bakery has developed and expanded over the years, and now supplies a large range of hand made bread and confectionery products to the public, as well as to outlets throughout Cork county on a daily basis.
From our state of the art production facility in Bishopstown, Doreen’s Bakery supplies products to large and small retail outlets, restaurants and cafes, hotels and bars, and various other companies, as well as to the general public.

Home Baked Breads & Cakes
As well as our extensive range of white and brown breads, health breads and scone products, we also supply a large selection of fresh cream and dry cakes.


In addition, Doreen’s Bakery also has a dedicated Celebratory and Birthday Cake department, which specialise in the production of special occasion cakes.
